Are you looking for personal development that also adds value to schools and the community?

School Governance is the most important volunteering role in education. Governors work in partnership with school staff to provide the best possible standards of education and help children to realise their aspirations and expectations.

Am I suitable?

Being able to give 6-8 hours per school month will add value
Only those filling Parent Governor vacancies have to have children
The age range is from 18 upwards
Education knowledge is useful, but external and objective perspectives are too
Governor training and support are available
